A true staple of both locations’ holiday festivities, these gingerbread displays are truly amazing. After months of hard work and creativity from the talented culinary teams, these displays are brought to life before our very eyes and are well worth the visit. AND you can buy your own house-made gingerbread houses and ornaments at the holiday shop there. This is the largest Disney World gingerbread house and is the most popular of the bunch, for good reason! You can expect larger than usual crowds in the Grand Floridian Resort lobby during the holiday season as many guests stop by to see this impressive display.
Monorail Resorts
The Haunted Mansion Gingerbread House has been materializing for guests of the attraction for more than 20 years from Halloween to the holidays. With three moving elements and nearly 300 pounds, this display took over 20 days to build and decorate with 13 cast members. Don’t forget to take a ride to see it for yourself before Jan. 8, 2024.
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The Beach Club gingerbread display does not yet have dates it will be available listed. Previously, the life-size gingerbread animals at the Animal Kingdom lodge were the newest addition to the lineup of Walt Disney World gingerbread houses. As the gingerbread houses continue to increase in popularity, creating a fun opportunity to hop to the Walt Disney World Resorts, it is great to see Disney recognize and add more houses. There are gingerbread houses at two of the three Disney World monorail hotels.
California Gingerbread Displays
Taking an afternoon break from your day at EPCOT to walk over to see the Beach Club gingerbread display would also be an easy way to incorporate it into your day. The Disney World gingerbread house at the Contemporary Resort is located on the 4th floor of the resort and is available Nov. 10 through Jan. 6, 2024. Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the gingerbread display will be back for its 12th year from November 10 to January 6, 2024. The display’s creation was led by Pastry Chef Jeff Barnes and can be found on the fourth floor of the resort.
According to Florida Today, the frames for both the giant display at The Grand Floridian and the carousel at Disney’s Beach Club are reused year after year. And, the actual gingerbread and sugar confections are set out in the nearby Disney tree nurseries for the local bee population. You may even encounter a special pin and/or merchandise signing with a pastry chef.

There’s truly no limit to the ways you can celebrate the holidays at Disney Parks. Say "ahoy!" to this life-size gingerbread house, which features more than 600 lbs. Of gingerbread dough, more than 5,000 gingerbread bricks and more than 200 lbs. This gingerbread house is a replica of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa which stands over seven feet tall and is decorated with over 600 pounds of gingerbread. If you look closely, you’ll even find a few hidden Mickeys sprinkled throughout the display.

Disney World Gingerbread Houses: A Complete Guide
The easiest way to see the Grand Floridian gingerbread house is to take the monorail from Magic Kingdom which stops at the hotel. Build this into your regular park day as a midafternoon break or book a dining reservation at one of the popular Disney World restaurants at this hotel. The gingerbread house was designed by a team at Walt Disney Imagineering and had over 40 members of the culinary team at the Contemporary Resort work on the house. Interestingly, the same gingerbread that is used for the creation of the house is then baked and sold for guests. I would have assumed that the gingerbread recipe would be different for building the house than the gingerbread sold. Animal Kingdom Lodge's gingerbread display ranks last out of the Walt Disney World resorts only due to its strong competition but it is smaller in scale than many of the other creations.

Yacht Club has its very own Christmas Village that has lovely holiday decorations, along with its very own train (something Walt Disney, himself, would love). The Christmas tree at Disney’s Polynesian is in the lobby of the Great Ceremonial House. The colors and decorations scream Polynesian and include flowers and festive garland.
